Bongo’s Bingo is launching in Sheffield on Friday 10th March at Street City as the phenomenon continues to sweep the UK, now reaching its 8th city. The team are ready to unleash more mayhem and merriment at one of the city’s finest warehouse locations, harnessing the irrepressible sense of magic which has seen Bongo’s Bingo become the talk of the country.

The show has been selling out in Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Glasgow and Birmingham with a debut in London soon, with lucky guests winning everything from big cash prizes to Henry Hoovers and lots of amazing things inbetween. Rave intervals, dancing on the tables and letting loose are all pretty much compulsory. Bongo’s Bingo has already taken the mayhem to Creamfields and Parklife in 2016, and there’s even more festival news for 2017 as they travel to Snowbombing this spring.

The action is as ever presided over by the legend himself, Jonny Bongo. Jonny is a truly larger than life character, holding court over proceedings and conducting the action with verve and aplomb. He holds the immense honour of the World Record for the biggest ever pub quiz, and gleefully presides over each evening of chaos, calling out the numbers, playing amazing music and inciting plenty of revelry. A night out at Bongo’s Bingo quite simply has to be seen to be believed, with 2017 shaping up to be very special indeed at Street City.

Street City is a multi-use event space in the Ecclesall area of Sheffield that hosts the largest monthly night food festival in the city. Guests are treated each month to a different theme with entertainment to match; as well as some of the UK’s best street food vendors and drinks. Event director Dan Hatfield said: “We are really excited to host this new event and to give Bongo Bingo a Sheffield home. Needless to say, I won’t be bringing my nan to this bingo night!”

Organiser Joshua Burke explains: “Sheffield is our 8th city and we are really happy to be working with the Street City guys. They have got a great venue perfect to debut Bongo’s Bingo, and we can’t wait to get stuck in with a brand new audience. 2017 is really shaping up well for us, we are continuing to grow and will soon be taking the concept abroad too – it’s very exciting times! Being in Sheffield is a very important city for us – Jonny is chomping at the bit for this show!”.
